Cloud migration
We move the things staff actually open. Mail, shared drives, and the line-of-business app. Off ageing hardware and into a tenant with an owner. Canada Central and Canada East are the default regions when the vendor offers them.
Usual scope
- Mailbox cutover or a staged move into Exchange Online, with the freeze window written on a calendar.
- File share to SharePoint, or a locked-down Azure file share. Permissions mapped, not handed to everyone.
- DNS, Autodiscover, and SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, so Monday's mail does not land in junk.
- A rollback note. If the cutover fails, we know which MX record goes back.
A closet server from 2014 is not a transformation project. It is a machine that will die. We size the job to the mailbox count and the state of the share permissions, then we do that job.
